Dr. Seiji Ohuchi, B.Sc. D.D.S.
Dr. Seiji Ohuchi was born in a small town in British Columbia but moved to Edmonton soon afterwards.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree he went on to receive his D.D.S. degree at the University of Alberta in 2000. He received several scholarships in university including: the Burroughs Wellcome Student Research Award, the Dr. Jerry Sirdar Memorial Scholarship, the Dr. Melville Kahn and Anne Kahn Prize in Restorative Dentistry, the Canada Millennium Scholarship and several others.
He originally started work in Camrose, Alberta and after 2 years, he returned to Edmonton be with his wife and family.
Dr. Ohuchi and his wife and have been proud Sherwood Park residents since 2003 and together they opened the doors to Cascade Dental Centre in 2005. They sponsor several local events and donate to multiple charities including the Red Cross, Alberta Cancer Foundation, Santas Anonymous and the Christmas Bureau.
Dr. Ohuchi has an interest in continuing education and enjoys staying current in the latest advances in dentistry. He is involved in local study groups and enjoys attending lectures and seminars throughout Canada and the United States. He loves practicing all aspects of dentistry and feels privileged to be able to provide his services to all of his patients.
Dr. Ohuchi loves spending time in the outdoors. Snowboarding, downhill and cross country skiing, cycling, hiking, kayaking and surfing top his list of favorite pursuits. Having 2 young boys keeps him very active and his favorite times are spent with them and his wife in the mountains. He is also currently learning to play golf with very limited success.
